Stephen Atherton

Stephen Atherton currently serves as the Design Director for The Line Design Group at NEOM since January 2024. Prior to this role, Stephen has held various significant positions, including Design Director at Sobha Realty since July 2013 and Managing Director at PNC Architects from July 2013 to June 2018, where strategic oversight and management of over 100 professionals were ensured. Stephen founded Atherton & Associates in 2009, leveraging design skills and business acumen to cultivate commercial relationships. Previous roles include Design Director at Fraser Eagle Contracts and TFL International LTD, as well as Associate at Scott Brownrigg. Stephen's career in design leadership began at European Design Group, where the position of Design Director was held from 1993 to 2001. Educationally, Stephen earned a Bachelor's Degree in 3D Interior Design from Leeds Beckett University between 1984 and 1987.
