Shylendra A.S.Nathan

Shylendra A.S. Nathan has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Shylendra is currently the CEO of SOCAR Mobility Malaysia since August 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the General Manager - Malaysia for REA Group from January 2021 to July 2022, where they had P&L responsibility for iProperty.com.my before it was acquired by PropertyGuru group.

Before that, Shylendra held the position of Startup Coach from May 2019 to May 2021. Shylendra also served as the Co-founder & CEO of Lendela, a fintech startup in Singapore offering a personal loan marketplace in Southeast Asia from July 2018 to April 2019, where they signed major global lending partners in the region.

From July 2017 to July 2018, Shylendra served as the Chief Operating Officer for 701Search Pte. Ltd., where they had regional responsibility supporting marketplaces owned by Telenor Online Classifieds in Singapore, Malaysia, and Vietnam. Shylendra also held the position of Chief Executive Officer for Onekyat from December 2016 to July 2018, overseeing a mobile marketplace acquired by Telenor in Myanmar and establishing a leading position within 12 months.

Prior to that, Shylendra served as the Chief Executive Officer for Ekhanei from May 2015 to June 2017, where they built one of the largest mobile marketplaces in Bangladesh. Shylendra focused on staff recruitment and development, managed partnerships and strategic business relationships, and formulated new mobile product development and strategy.

Shylendra's work experience also includes their time at Google, where they held the positions of Industry Head - Tech, Telco & Government from January 2013 to May 2015, and Head of Agency Relations in 2012. During their tenure at Google, they achieved significant growth in ads revenue through effective management of large customer accounts and strategic marketing initiatives.

Prior to Google, Shylendra had a successful tenure at Mudah.my Sdn Bhd as the General Manager from September 2007 to December 2011. Shylendra established the online marketplace startup and achieved market leadership through search engine marketing and online advertising.

Shylendra's earlier roles include Head, Assessment & Industry Development at Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) from December 2006 to September 2007, and Software Engineering Manager at Motorola Technology Sdn Bhd from October 2005 to December 2006.

Shylendra began their career as the Chief Technology Officer at Handisplay (M) Sdn Bhd from May 2002 to September 2005, where they led a team of developers and secured a research & development grant from the government.

Shylendra A.S. Nathan completed their education in two notable institutions. Shylendra earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Southern Cross University in 1998. Later on, they pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Strathclyde, specializing in Business Administration and Management.
