Richard J. Peltz-Steele

Richard J. Peltz-Steele serves as Chancellor Professor of Law at the University of Massachusetts School of Law since July 2011. An author since January 1998, Richard is also a member of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication and the American Bar Association. Richard has participated in continuing legal education events as both an attendee and speaker with the Union Internationale des Avocats since 2012. Prior experience includes a professorship at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock from January 1998 to July 2011 and serving as an associate at Venable LLP in litigation from January 1996 to December 1997. Richard holds a JD from Duke University School of Law (1995) and a BA in Journalism and Spanish from Washington and Lee University (1993).
