Alvaro Villegas Echalar

Alvaro Villegas Echalar has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades in various IT roles. Alvaro most recently held the position of Head of Information Technology Infrastructure and Operations at Sociedad Boliviana de Cemento S.A. (SOBOCE) starting in February 2023.

Prior to that, they worked at VIVA Bolivia for ten years, starting in 2013. During their time at VIVA Bolivia, they served as the IT Assistant Manager of Software Operations from February 2021 to February 2023, and as the Assistant Manager ERP from July 2013 to February 2021.

From 2005 to 2013, Alvaro worked at HANSA Proyectos & Servicios, where they held multiple roles, including Head of Information Technology Operations from April 2008 to July 2013, Senior System Analyst from January 2007 to March 2008, and System Developer from August 2005 to December 2006.

Alvaro also has experience working at General Industrial & Trading S.A. (GIT) as a System Administrator from January 2004 to July 2005, and at Servinco S.A. as a System Developer from July 2002 to December 2003.

Alvaro Villegas Echalar's education history is as follows:

Alvaro Villegas Echalar earned a degree as an Ingeniero de Sistemas from Escuela Militar de Ingeniería "Mcal. Antonio José de Sucre" from 1997 to 2001.

In 2008, they completed a Diploma in Auditoria de Sistemas de Información from the same institution.

Alvaro went on to attend Universidad Católica Boliviana, where they obtained various qualifications. In 2010, they earned a Diplomado en Sistemas computacionales para Internet. Also in 2010, they obtained a Magister Scientiarum en Gestión de Sistemas de Información.

In 2011, Alvaro Villegas Echalar pursued an Especialista en Tecnologías de la Información from Universidad Católica Boliviana.

Alvaro has also obtained additional certifications. In July 2020, they became Scrum Fundamentals Certified (SFC) and Scrum Master Certified (SMC) from SCRUMstudy - Accreditation Body for Scrum and Agile.
