David Smithwick

David Smithwick has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. David currently holds the position of Vice President Tech Ops and Site Head at Societal™ CDMO (formerly Recro) since February 2021. Prior to this role, they served as the Sr Vice President and Site Head at the same company from June 2019 to February 2021. Before joining Recro, David worked at Thermo Fisher Scientific as the Senior Director of Global Strategic Pricing and Contracting from July 2017 to June 2018. David also had various leadership positions at Patheon, including Senior Director of Global Strategic Pricing, Senior Director of Corporate Operations and Strategic Program, and Senior Director of Business Management. David's career started at DSM Pharmaceuticals Inc, where they held the roles of Senior Director of Business Services and Senior Director of Account Management.

David Smithwick attended East Carolina University from 1981 to 1986, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Industrial Management.
