Richard Sidwell

Richard Sidwell has a diverse and extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Richard started their career at CytRx as a Scientist and Deputy RSO from 1994 to 1996. Richard then moved on to Proceutics, where they worked as a Scientist and Deputy RSO from 1996 to 1998. Richard joined Oread as a Manager of Product Development in 1998 and stayed until 2000. Following that, they worked at Elan, initially as a Scientist from 2003 to 2009, and later as a Senior Manager of Formulation Development from 2009 to 2011. After Alkermes acquired Elan, Richard took on the role of Senior Manager of Product Development ESD from September 2011 to April 2012. Richard then became an Associate Director and later a Director of Process Development at Alkermes from 2012 to 2014. Richard's next role was as a Director of Product Development at Recro Pharma Inc, acquired by Alkermes, where they served from 2015 to 2018. Most recently, they have been Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer at Societal™ CDMO since October 2018.

Richard Sidwell has a strong educational background in the field of science. Richard obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Pharmaceutics from The University of Georgia, where they studied from 1998 to 2002. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Health Physics from Georgia Institute of Technology from 1993 to 1994. Richard completed their undergraduate education at Oglethorpe University, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physics from 1988 to 1993.

In addition to their formal education, Richard has also acquired several certifications to enhance their knowledge and skills. Richard obtained The Six Types of Working Genius Certification from The Six Types of Working Genius in October 2021. In December 2016, they completed the Finance for Non-Financial Professionals course and received a certification from Coursera Course Certificates. Richard also pursued the Practical Machine Learning and Data Science for Executives program at The University of Georgia, although the exact completion month and year are not provided.
