Alfred Van der Klis

Alfred Van der Klis is an experienced professional with a diverse background in education, consultancy, and leadership. Currently serving as a co-founder and board member at deBurgerReserve since July 2024, Alfred focuses on community building and crisis response training. As co-owner of Board Refreshment since October 2023, Alfred specializes in enhancing diversity and societal representation in supervisory boards. In addition, Alfred co-founded Society College in January 2022, emphasizing the integration of citizenship and professional education. Previous roles include co-developer of a BA elective at Universiteit Leiden, program manager at Defensity College for the Ministry of Defence, film production leadership with Wackius, and various positions in project coordination and independent consultancy. Alfred holds an MA and BA in Philosophy from the University of Amsterdam and has completed military education at the Royal Military Academy and Leiden University.
