Team Lead - In-space Propulsion Capstone at Society for Advanced Rocket Propulsion (SARP)

Lachlan Stewart is an experienced propulsion engineer currently working at the Society for Advanced Rocket Propulsion (SARP) since October 2021, where key contributions include manufacturing a 1200lbf regeneratively cooled engine and leading the analysis for an engine test stand. Previously, Lachlan served as Engine Development Lead, designing optimizations for the same engine and leading a new team. Other roles include Mechanical Development & Test Engineer at Rocket Lab, Mechanical Test Engineer at Vashon Aircraft, Command & Data Handling Developer for the University of Washington Cubesat Team, and THz Imaging Systems Engineer at INO, among others. Lachlan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Washington, expected to be completed in June 2025, and possesses an International Baccalaureate Diploma.
