Lorrie Axelrod has a range of work experience in various roles and industries. Lorrie started in 2021 as a Data Science Intern at The Frist Center for Autism and Innovation | Vanderbilt University, where they guided participants through workshops and curated reports on program effectiveness. In 2022, Lorrie worked as a Marketing Intern at Positive Behavior Supports Corp., focusing on outreach and social media. Lorrie also had internships as a Product Design & Management Intern at Product Space and a Marketing Intern at Ken's Krew. In 2023, they worked as a User Experience Designer at IBM. Currently, Lorrie serves as the Vanderbilt Director of Events at SHPE.

Lorrie Axelrod obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Computer Science from Vanderbilt University between 2020 and 2024. Prior to that, they completed their high school education and obtained a High School Diploma from Pine Crest School between 2016 and 2020. In 2019, they participated in a Spanish immersion program at Universidad de Cantabria at the university level. In addition to their formal education, Lorrie has also obtained several certifications, including Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner from IBM in 2023, Google UX Design Certificate from Coursera in 2022, and IBM Accelerate - Client Engineering and Technical Sales from IBM in 2022.
