Lisa States

Lisa States has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of radiology. Lisa is currently serving as the President of the Pediatric Imaging Council at the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) since May 2021. Before that, they worked at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for several years, starting as an Assistant Professor of Radiology in August 1997 and progressing to become an Associate Professor of Clinical Radiology in August 2007. Lisa held this position until July 2021. Prior to their time at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Lisa worked at Yale-New Haven Hospital as an Assistant Professor of Radiology from August 1996 to July 1997. Lisa also gained experience as a Fellow at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia from July 1994 to July 1996.

Lisa States attended Stanford University from 1981 to 1985, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts (A.B.) degree in Human Biology. Following this, they enrolled at the Joan & Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University from 1985 to 1989, completing their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree. Lisa then pursued a Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program from 1990 to 1994, combined with AECOM, BMHC, and Jacobi and Montefiore radiology program.
