Melanie Sanchez

Melanie Sanchez is an experienced mechanical engineer and leader, currently serving as the Treasurer for the Society of Women Engineers at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas since January 2019. Prior roles include Design Engineering Intern at Southland Industries, Student Employee at the Desert Research Institute, Co-Lead Coach for FIRST Robotics Competition Team 7424, and Student Ambassador for the UNLV College of Engineering. Additionally, Melanie has interned at Tesla focusing on workforce development and education. Leadership experience includes serving as President and Vice President of FIRST Robotics Competition Team 987. Melanie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, obtained in 2022.
