Elena Sloman

Elena Sloman has a diverse work experience in the music industry. Elena worked at the Santa Rosa Symphony where they held several roles including Youth Ensembles Manager, Youth Ensembles Winds Coach Substitute, Interim Conductor for the Debut Youth Orchestra, Rehearsal Assistant for Simply Strings, Conductor Substitute for the Debut Youth Orchestra, and Teacher's Aide for Simply Strings. Elena also worked as a freelance oboist and English horn player in the San Francisco Bay Area. Elena Sloman has also worked as an oboe teacher for private lessons and as a contributing artist for Society6. Elena served as the Operations Manager for the Mill Valley Philharmonic and as the Youth Symphony Winds Coach for the NAPA VALLEY YOUTH SYMPHONY. Elena Sloman also worked as an Assistant Conductor for the Community Women's Orchestra and as a Program Associate for Festival Napa Valley. Elena was also an Artist in Residence at the Napa Valley Performing Arts Center and worked on publicity material design for the Cordancia Chamber Orchestra.

Elena Sloman has a diverse education background in the field of music. Elena began their higher education journey at Summerfield Waldorf School from 2009 to 2011, where they obtained their High School Diploma. Following this, they attended the University of Southern California from 2011 to 2015, earning a Bachelor of Music in Oboe Performance. Elena then went on to pursue a Master of Music degree in Oboe Performance and Literature at the Eastman School of Music from 2015 to 2017.
