Sylvia Metayer is the current Chief Growth Officer at Sodexo. Prior to this, they held various positions at companies such as Animalcare Group, Aéroports De Paris, Keolis Group, PageGroup, and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. Sylvia Metayer began their career in 1997 as VP Finance and Administration at Mattel, Inc. Sylvia then became CFO of Education, Games and Literature at Vivendi in 2000 before taking on the role of President, Assessment Group at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt in 2001. During their time at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Sylvia was responsible for the development of assessment services and products for K-12, Professional and Corporate markets. Sylvia successfully acquired and integrated a web start up, expanded the services of a niche player, and designed the blue print for change of a mature business in a rapidly changing market.

Sylvia Metayer obtained a high school degree from Lycee Claudel Ottawa in Biology/Biological Sciences, General. Sylvia then went on to study at the University of Ottawa where they obtained a B.Sc. in Biology. After completing their undergraduate studies, Sylvia Metayer obtained a B.ED. from Queen's University in Education, Biology. Finally, they completed their education with a Diplome HEC from HEC Paris in Audit, Comptabilite, Expertise.
