Ishan Awasthi

Ishan Awasthi has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Ishan started their career as a Sr. Software Engineer at Scanbuy in 2004, where they spearheaded the R&D team in developing the company's barcode-decoding technology. Ishan also led the development of the handset application for the Brew platform. In 2008, Ishan joined Verizon as a Software Engineer, later transitioning to the role of Lead Systems Consultant and Principal Software Engineer (PMTS). During their time at Verizon, they played a key role in developing key features and enhancements for the Fios Mobile Application, as well as leading the design and development of various mobile applications. In 2014, Ishan joined Reliance Industries Limited as the Director of Mobile Development - Cloud, where they focused on building mobile applications that provide cloud services to millions of consumers. Most recently, in 2020, they joined SoFi as the Director of Engineering, Mobile.

Ishan Awasthi pursued their Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science from YMCA Institute Of Engineering, Faridabad from 1997 to 2001. Following this, they attended Rutgers University from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained their Masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Ishan'sarea of focus during their master's degree was Advanced Graphics and Computer Vision.
