Tong Han

VP & Head of Collections Center, Excellence at SoFi

Tong Han is the current Vice President and Head of Collections Center of Excellence at SoFi. Tong has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry, specifically in collections and risk management.

Han began their career in 1999 as a Manager of Financial Modeling at Ocwen Financial Co. Tong then joined HSBC in December 1999 as a Senior Manager of Risk Management. In November 2003, they switched to Citi and became the Director of Risk Operations for Citi's North America Consumer Bank (NACB). Han left Citi in May 2015 to join Wells Fargo as the Senior Vice President and Head of Collections & Recovery Risk Management for Consumer Credit Solution (CCS). Tong stayed in this position until November 2021 when they joined SoFi as the Senior Director of Risk Management for Fraud Prevention. In October 2022, they were promoted to their current position as the Vice President and Head of Collections Center of Excellence.

Han has a proven track record in collections and risk management. Tong is an expert in the field and has helped their previous companies save millions of dollars by preventing fraud and reducing losses. Her experience and knowledge make their an asset to SoFi, and they are expected to continue to help the company grow and succeed.

Tong Han completed their undergraduate degree at Washington State University and then went on to complete their graduate degree at the University of Arkansas.

They are on a team with Davin Chow - VP, Risk Strategy, Michael Tsung - VP, Fraud Prevention, and Ratinder Bedi - Chief Credit Officer. Tong Han reports to Aaron J. Webster, Chief Risk Officer.
