Shontel Grumhaus is an accomplished fundraising and development professional with extensive experience at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. Currently serving as Associate Vice Chancellor for Development and Chief Strategist for Schools and Units since July 2023, Shontel previously held the role of Senior Associate Dean for Development, where leadership of a 28-member team resulted in exceeding a $400 million campaign goal and achieving record-breaking fundraising years. Earlier experience includes positions as Associate Dean for Development in the College of Arts & Sciences, Principal at Oxeon Partners, Director of Development at UNC Kenan-Flagler, and various roles in healthcare sales and marketing. Shontel holds a Master’s degree in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.
