Rakesh Nakod

Rakesh Nakod has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Rakesh is currently an Associate Principal Engineer at Softnautics - A MosChip Company, starting in November 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Barclays as a Machine Learning Specialist from December 2020 to October 2021.

From 2017 to 2020, Rakesh was associated with eInfochips (An Arrow Company). During this time, they served as a Technical Lead - AI Specialist, where they led a team of AI engineers in designing and developing artificially intelligent medicine cabinets. Rakesh was responsible for identifying potential use cases, selecting algorithms, and designing complete IP for customers. Rakesh also worked as a Product Manager, defining the strategy and roadmap for all Artificial Intelligence offerings and business solutions. In this role, they played a key role in the development of Snapbricks Congitives AI Services and Cognitive QA Services, as well as the Voice Automation Quality Automation (VAQA) framework.

Before eInfochips, Rakesh worked at Infosys as a Technology Analyst - MLCoE from February 2016 to December 2017. Rakesh was the Machine Learning lead for iECP (Infosys Enterprise Cognitive Platform) and contributed significantly to its design and development. Rakesh was also responsible for developing intellectual property under the platform.

Prior to Infosys, Rakesh was the Co-Owner and Technologist at Tribbianis Software Solutions Pvt Ltd from January 2014 to February 2016. Here, they were responsible for the technical feasibility of critical business requirements and led a research team focusing on the latest developments in machine learning, image processing, and recommendation systems. Rakesh also served as the team lead for two in-house projects, Smart Planner and Resource Indexer.

Rakesh began their career as a Software Engineer at vRhythms Software Private Limited from August 2012 to November 2013, where they designed and developed web-based BPM software. Rakesh also created business process diagram modules using jQuery and JavaScript and designed custom themes for Dojo.

In addition, Rakesh had an internship at Persistent Systems from January 2012 to July 2012, where they designed and developed a Web Debug Interface for Apache Solr. This tool allowed users to analyze page scores and understand how different indexed fields contribute to the overall score value.

Rakesh Nakod obtained their Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degree in Computer Science from Fergusson College, where they studied from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science at Modern College, Shivajinagar-04, from 2007 to 2009. Rakesh pursued their higher secondary education, with a focus on science subjects, at Modern College, Nigdi-44, from 2003 to 2005. Finally, Rakesh completed their primary and secondary education at St. Andrews High School, Chinchwad, Pune-19, from 1991 to 2003.
