Jenna Barnett is a seasoned advocate and writer with extensive experience in promoting gender equality and supporting marginalized communities. Currently serving as Senior Associate Culture Editor and Women and Girls Campaign Coordinator at Sojourners since January 2017, Jenna focuses on empowering women and girls through faith community engagement, addressing gender-based violence, and highlighting racial and immigration justice issues. Previous roles include Land and Learning Coordinator at the International Rescue Committee, where Jenna coordinated educational initiatives for refugees, and Peace Writer at the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice, contributing to the Women PeaceMakers Program. Jenna's earlier work as an Editorial Assistant at Sojourners and an ESL Teacher and Organic Gardener at Jubilee Partners further reflects a commitment to social justice and community empowerment. Jenna holds a Master of Fine Arts in Literary Reportage from New York University and a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and Religion from Furman University.

Working through Sojourners magazine, Sojourners’ website sojo.net, public speaking events, media outreach, educational resources, books, advocacy, and trainings, Sojourners is an internationally influential voice at the intersection of faith, politics, and culture.
