Madison White is the current Chair of the Board for the Male Contraception Initiative, a position they have held since July 2013. Prior to that, they were a Senior Scientist at FHI 360 (formerly Family Health International and FHI) from August 1987 to November 2012.
Madison has been a driving force in promoting and raising funds for research on new, reversible male contraceptive methods. There are many new leads for non-hormonal methods that require funding for further development. Research on hormonal methods has shown promise, but Madison wants to see a robust pipeline of new methods so that men will eventually have some choices besides condoms and vasectomy procedures.
Madison co-founded the Male Contraceptive Initiative (MCI) with Aaron Hamlin, Executive Director, who was instrumental in getting their first major donor, the Parsemus Foundation. The MCI website is: www.malecontraceptive.org
Madison White completed a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry/Pre-Med at Columbia University. Madison then attended Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo, where they earned their MD. Madison did their Pediatric Residency at Phoenix Hospitals Affiliated Pediatric Program.
Madison White works with Hannah King - Junior Account Coordinator, Derek Thompson - Account Manager, and Morgan Ivey - Account Coordinator. Their manager is Collette Elgin, Director of Account Services.
