Overview 

This position is for a Senior Cloud SRE/Security Engineer. You will be responsible for the daily operations of Solace Cloud, our market-leading SaaS offering, across leading cloud providers and platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, etc.  

Your Day to Day:  

• Ensuring that the Solace Cloud Services are healthy and reliable, and that SLAs are being met
• Improving our infrastructure tooling, observability, and automation
• Contribute to making the production environment more efficient, less error-prone, etc.
• Expert knowledge of handling security alerts and Incidents in production-grade multi-cloud environments according to industry standard Incident management
• Process Handling service requests and provisioning by the customers.
• Actively involved in development for scalable deployment (automation, tooling, etc.)
• Expert debugging knowledge in Linux and Kubernetes to detect malicious activity.
• Be on-call rotation and provide 24x7 off-hours support
• Help implement a shift left security mindset and practice in the organization and educate the software engineering teams on the security best practices
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits of cloud infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.

Ideally, You Will Be:  

• Highly technical, excited by technology and eager to stay up to date in a rapidly evolving environment.
• An Expert in Cloud and Cloud Security Solutions
• Knowledgeable to demonstrate the ability to debug at a system level and resolve incidents in complex cloud-based environments
• Experienced in Site reliability engineering and Incident response
• A strong communicator who can articulate complex technical issues clearly and concisely & get on the phone with customers.
• Experienced in SaaS operations, and customer-facing technical support
• Aware of the latest OWASP Security vulnerabilities and best practices for remediations
• Aware of current Cyber Security Incidents to influence a secure production environment and security operations

Required Skills:  

• Hands-on experience with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), security services & features

• Hands-on experience with cloud Kubernetes infrastructure platforms such as AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service, Azure Kubernetes Service, Google Kubernetes Service

• Hands-on experience with Monitoring tools like Datadog, Kibana, Prometheus, etc.

• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure Automation using Terraform, Cloud Formation

• Hands-on expertise in debugging production and security alerts

• Expert-level understanding of Linux Operating Systems

• Programmer in languages such as Groovy, Python, go

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator

• Certified Cloud Administrator (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Desired skills  

• Strong understanding of security principles, protocols, and standards (e.g. NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Benchmarks, etc.).
• Experience with operating and administering Messaging Software
• Experience with compliance standards such as SoC II, ISO 27001, GDPR
• Experience with Customer Success/Onboarding
