Simon Desmarais-Zalob is a seasoned social worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work from Fordham University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from McGill University. Currently serving as a Student Wellness Specialist at Solano County Office Education since August 2020, Simon has extensive experience in supporting at-risk students, having previously worked as a School Social Worker at Vallejo High School and Renew Virtual Academies. Additionally, Simon coordinated programs aimed at improving student success and wellness through direct counseling and goal-setting initiatives. Early in the career, experience included providing case management for refugees at Catholic Charities and developing treatment plans for at-risk students during internships at Emily N Carey High School and Catholic Charities.
