Solar Landscape needs your help in changing the way America goes solar.  We’re looking for a Solar PV Design Engineer to join our team.   As a PV Design Engineer at Solar Landscape, you will be responsible for providing solutions in design engineering for commercial and utility-scale solar photovoltaic projects in an early-stage scenario. 

Responsibilities

  • Design/Support commercial and grid supplied Solar Photovoltaic systems.
  • Provide technical support to Commercial Sales, and Finance for the development of technical proposals and customer presentations.
  • Participate in meetings and technical presentations if needed with customers and internal teams.
  • Work with appropriate electric utilities to prepare and process interconnection paperwork in tandem with the Engineering team.
  • Identify appropriate equipment for use in PV systems and support the engineering team in technical qualification of vendors.
  • Support construction team with ongoing technical support, RFI’s and As-builts as needed.
  • Develop necessary customer deliverables such as concept module layouts, single line diagrams, equipment or material specifications, engineering validation, 3-D renderings and photo simulations.
  • Assist with Request for Proposal (RFP’s) review, technical writing, and response coordination.

Qualifications

  • Engineering Degree
  • Basic understanding of Solar PV technology.
  • Experience in design projects either in academic course or work experience.
  • Experience with solar PV design software platforms will be a plus.
