Mahya Amani

Mahya Amani, Ph.D. has extensive experience in various data-related roles. Mahya is currently working at NRG Energy, where they serve as a Principal Data Scientist. Prior to this, they worked as a Data Scientist at the same company.

In addition to their industry experience, Dr. Amani also has academic experience. Mahya worked at The University of Kansas as a Lecturer for a period of five months in 2022.

Furthermore, Dr. Amani has teaching and research experience from their time at Rice University. Mahya served as a Teaching Assistant from 2015 to 2021, and also worked as a Research Assistant at Rice Business - Jones Graduate School of Business in 2017.

Mahya Amani, Ph.D. completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at Sharif University of Technology from 2008 to 2013. Mahya then pursued a Master of Science in Economics from 2013 to 2015 at the same institution. Following that, they attended Rice University from 2015 to 2021, where they obtained a Master of Arts and a Doctor of Philosophy in Economics.
