Edwin Ongeri

Edwin Ongeri has worked in the renewable energy sector since 2012. Edwin began their career as an Electrical Engineer at Power Technics Ltd. in 2012. In 2015, they joined Schneider Electric as a Product Application Leader -Renewable Energy |Solar, where they were responsible for feasibility study reports and tender preparation for Solar PV Projects. From 2016 to 2019, Edwin worked at Infrastructure Global at Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development - IPS as a Renewable Energy Specialist, where they were responsible for coordinating activities related to rural electrification and bottom of the pyramid projects. In 2019, they joined Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH as an Advisor – Project & Business Development Renewable Energy Project Development Programme (PDP). Edwin is currently working as a Business Development Manager at Solarise Africa and a Business Development Specialist at GET.invest.

Edwin Ongeri obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics engineering from the University of Nairobi between 2007 and 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a KCSE Certificate (Equivalent of O-Levels) from Lenana School between 2002 and 2005.
