Ivan C. Carmona-Tortolero

Ivan C. Carmona-Tortolero is an accomplished engineer and researcher with extensive experience in power electronics and biomedical imaging. Currently serving as a Senior R&D Power Electronics Engineer at Solarlytics, Ivan leads the design and development of advanced power electronic equipment for large-scale solar farms, alongside high-tech firmware development. Ivan holds positions as an Affiliate Research Scientist at the MGH/HST Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging and a Research Affiliate at Harvard Medical School. As a Doctoral Researcher at Virginia Commonwealth University, Ivan focused on novel transcranial magnetic stimulators, building on previous work in MRI technology at Northwestern University. Previous roles included project management and consultancy in energy efficiency and telecommunications, with a solid academic foundation from prestigious institutions, culminating in a PhD in Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering.
