Michaelyn Baur

Michaelyn Bachhuber Baur serves as the Managing Director of Solidaridad North America, leading a remote team that specializes in corporate and donor engagement, policy influencing, and technical service provision. Notably, under Michaelyn's guidance, Solidaridad secured its first direct contract with USAID in 2022, amounting to $31 million for the Amazonia Connect project. Michaelyn has previously held leadership roles, including Managing Director for Solidaridad in Central America, Mexico, and the Caribbean, and was the Head of Latin America and Caribbean Producer Services and Relations at Fairtrade International. A co-founder of Sustainable Trade Systems Consulting and PROEVAL-Raxmu in Guatemala, Michaelyn brings extensive experience in sustainable agriculture, value chain development, and stakeholder engagement across multiple countries. Education includes an M.A. in Sustainable Development from the School for International Training and a B.A. in Latin American Studies from Marquette University.
