Role Overview:  

At Solidatus we believe our people are the key to enabling our success. Our People team therefore play a crucial role in supporting our people and ensuring they are set up for success in their day-to-day work and that they are free from unwanted distractions. The HR Manager role is key in ensuring that’s possible. You will be the first port of call for all things people queries and have accountability for ensuring our people operations run seamlessly be that onboarding, payroll, performance cycles or non complex ER cases. You will also have responsibility for delivering initiatives and events that enable cross functional collaboration and engagement, foster inclusion, celebrate diversity and helping our people feel valued and appreciated. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  1. HR Operations:
  • Manage day-to-day HR operations across US, India, and UK offices.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Oversee the maintenance and management of HR systems, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Produce and manage employment documentation, including contracts, offer letters, and termination notices.
  1. Payroll & Benefits Management:
  • Supervise payroll processes to ensure accurate and timely payroll execution.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting departments to ensure proper payroll accounting and compliance.
  • Address payroll-related queries and issues promptly and effectively
  • Work with benefits providers including pension to ensure benefits are delivered effectively to our people.
  1. Systems Maintenance and Management:
  • Maintain HRIS systems and ensure they are up-to-date and functioning efficiently.

  • Own cyclical HR processes ensuring systems ensuring they launch and run smoothly

  • Provide training and support to staff on HR systems and tools.

  • Implement system upgrades and improvements as needed.

  1. Employment Documentation:
  • Create, update, and manage employment documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain organized and confidential employee records.
  • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
  1. Employee Relations (ER):
  • Address core employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture through effective communication and problem-solving.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies.
  1. Recruitment Support:
  • Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screenings, and interview coordination.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
  • Support onboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
  1. Engagement Activities and Office Management:
  • Plan and execute employee engagement activities to foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Oversee office management tasks, ensuring a well-organized and efficient workplace.
  • Coordinate with office administrators in each location to address facility-related needs and improvements.

Relevant Experience: 

  • 5+ years of experience in HR management, with a focus on international HR operations

  • Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations in the US and India

  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and payroll software

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Experience in a scale-up or fast-growing company is a plus
