Kevin Shannon

Kevin Shannon has worked in the IT industry for over 25 years. Kevin's current role is Advisory Solutions Engineer at Solidatus, a position they have held since 2022. Prior to that, they were Director, Financial Services Data Advisory at KPMG US from 2020-2021. From 2019-2020, they were a Board of Directors member at the Data Governance Professionals Organization, a non-profit organization. In 2019, they were Principal at Information Asset, providing Data Management consultancy services to major U.S. financial institutions. From 2015-2019, they were Global Head of Enterprise Data & Analytics Governance at Dun & Bradstreet, where they achieved multiple successes, such as transforming the organization's Enterprise Data & Analytics Governance capabilities, winning the 2018 Data Governance Best Practices Award, and directing the implementation of D&B's GDPR program. From 2012-2015, they were Vice President, Global Head Data Governance at Standard & Poor's Ratings, where they established a global enterprise data governance maturity program. From 2010-2012, they were Senior Information Officer - IT at AIG, where they reengineered the data infrastructure and obtained key data sources. From 2003-2010, they were Director Applications Development - IT at Metlife, where they managed the company's acquisition of Traveler's Insurance and reengineered the investment department's data architecture. Kevin's first role was Senior Software Engineer - IT at Telcordia Technologies, a position they held from 1995-2003.

Kevin Shannon obtained their MS in Software Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology between 1996 and 2000. Prior to that, they obtained their BA in Computer Science from Rutgers University - Newark between 1992 and 1995. In November 2020, they obtained a certification in Psychological Safety: Clear Blocks to Innovation, Collaboration, and Risk-Taking from LinkedIn.
