Adrian Matthews

Adrian Matthews has extensive experience in the field of highways asset management, currently serving as the Asset and Contract Manager at Solihull MBC since January 2007, where responsibilities include managing the Highways asset and overseeing an £8 million Strategic Highways Contract. Previously, Adrian held the position of Principal Engineer, leading the asset management of the highway network and managing a £9 million Highway Maintenance programme. Adrian began a career at Walsall Council, serving as Highway Service Manager from April 1986 to December 2006, overseeing all aspects of the Highway Maintenance service. Adrian holds an HNC in Civil Engineering from Birmingham Polytechnic and is a Fellow of the Institute for Highway Engineers, with early education including 7 O levels from Riland Bedford.
