Omar Mohamed Derow

Omar Mohamed Derow has a diverse work experience in the field of finance and procurement. Omar started their career at Soliton Telmec as an Accountant in 2009 and later became the Head of Finance at Frontier Optical Networks in 2011. In 2013, they joined Enlace Solutions Ltd as a Finance Director. In 2014, they returned to Soliton Telmec as the Head of Finance & Procurement and eventually became the CFO in 2019. Throughout their career, Omar has been focused on supporting strategy, operations, and business development, implementing process automation, and leveraging data-driven decision making.

Omar Mohamed Derow's education history begins in 2008 when they enrolled at KCA University. Omar spent three years completing their Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree with a focus on Accounting and Finance. Following this, in 2018, they attended the MECA CFO Academy, where they pursued a CFO Strategy & Leadership program in the field of Leadership & Strategy. Most recently, in 2023, they participated in the Senior Executive Program Africa at Harvard Business School Executive Education.
