Karl Kuetzing possesses extensive experience in emergency medical services and outdoor education. Currently serving as Training Officer at San Juan Island Fire District #3 since January 2021, Karl has held multiple roles at San Juan Island EMS and MedEvac, including AHA Instructor, Interim Chief, and Director of Operations since 2015. Additionally, Karl has contributed as a Wilderness Instructor at SOLO Wilderness Medical School and has maintained a position as Principal at K2 Surveying & Mapping since 2010. Karl's background also includes work as an Emergency Medical Technician with San Juan County Emergency Medical Services and as a Naturalist with San Juan Excursions. Arriving at the educational foundation from Cornell College with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies, Karl furthered studies at the University of Guam.

We offer a range of courses in wilderness and international travel medicine, from a 2 day basic First Aid to a 4-week intensive Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician. We have a beautiful small campus in Conway, New Hampshire in the heart of the White Mountains, but we offer our courses all over the US and internationally.
