Sonia Pernas

Sonia Pernas is a distinguished medical oncologist specializing in breast cancer, currently serving as the Head of the Breast Cancer Unit at the Catalan Institute of Oncology since November 2004. Alongside this role, Sonia is also a board member and part of the scientific committee at SOLTI since April 2015. Sonia's previous experience includes a postdoctoral research fellowship at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute from August 2017 to June 2019 and a residency in medical oncology at Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau from July 2000 to July 2004. Sonia earned a doctorate in Medicine and Translational Research from Universitat de Barcelona and has a medical degree from the same institution, complemented by studies at Harvard University and the University of St Andrews.
