Amit Desai

Amit Desai has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Amit is currently working as a Product Development Scientist at Solugen since November 2021. Prior to this, they spent three years at Kraton Corporation as an Application Scientist, where they provided technical support for the commercialization of innovative products that received industrial recognition awards. Before that, they served as a Senior Polymer Research Scientist at Eastman Chemical Company from 2015 to 2018. Amit also has experience as a Co-founder of MicroRadChem from 2011 to 2015. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Post-doctoral Researcher at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where they led collaborations, authored grants, mentored students, and developed microreactors for chemical synthesis. Amit also served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering, Pennsylvania State University, and as a Master's Research Assistant at Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Amit's work experience also includes a summer internship at Geometric Ltd. in 2001.
