Konrad Miller PhD PE is a seasoned professional in chemical engineering with extensive experience in process development and manufacturing science. Currently serving as Vice President of Manufacturing Science and Technology at Solugen since June 2020, Konrad leads new molecule research and manages a team of over 40 scientists and engineers. With a strong academic background, including a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Davis, Konrad has made significant contributions in areas such as fermentation process optimization, enzyme bioreactor enhancement, and techno-economic analysis. Previous roles include Senior Director of Process Development at Solugen, Director of Process Development, and Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of California, Davis, where Konrad was involved in both teaching and cutting-edge research. Additional experience includes engineering positions at notable companies like Amyris, Anheuser-Busch, and E. & J. Gallo Winery, where Konrad achieved advancements in process efficiency and scale-up operations.
