Michael Davis

Michael Davis is an accomplished media professional with extensive experience in journalism and content production. Currently serving as the Manager of Training and Curriculum at Solutions Journalism Network since May 2018, Michael promotes the integration of solutions-oriented journalism in newsrooms across the nation. As Co-Executive Producer of the Emmy-winning documentary "Street Gang: How We Got to Sesame Street," Michael contributes to notable projects in media. Previous roles include Executive Editor at both Statesman Journal Media and Journal and Courier, where Michael led award-winning teams and achieved record-breaking digital engagement. As President of Applewood Books, Inc., Michael oversaw the creation of the New York Times Non-Fiction Best Seller "Street Gang: The Complete History of Sesame Street." Michael's journalism education includes a Master's of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University and a Nieman Fellowship at Harvard University.
