Daniel Alvestad

Daniel Alvestad has a diverse work experience, starting with their current position as a Software Developer at Solv AS since June 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Researcher Phd Candidate at the University of Stavanger (UiS) from May 2019 to June 2023. Before joining UiS, they served as an Analytics Consultant at BI Builders from October 2018 to July 2019. Daniel also worked as a Consultant at Bekk Consulting AS for a short period from August 2018 to October 2018. In addition, they gained teaching experience as a Seminar Leader in Quantum Field Theory and a Teaching Assistant in Electromagnetism and Optics at the University of Bergen (UiB) from January 2018 to June 2018 and August 2016 to December 2017, respectively. Furthermore, they worked as a Summer Intern at Forsvarets forskningsinstitutt - FFI from June 2017 to August 2017. Lastly, they served as a Teaching Assistant in Mechanics 1 at the University of Bergen (UiB) from January 2016 to June 2016 and as a Teaching Assistant in Calculus 1 at the University of Bergen in August 2014.

Daniel Alvestad earned a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from the University of Bergen (UiB) from 2013 to 2016. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) in Particle Physics at the same university from 2016 to 2018. Currently, they are enrolled at the University of Stavanger, where they are working towards a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics, which they expect to complete in 2023.
