Jean-Marc Chamberland has extensive work experience in various roles within the Solvay group and its joint-venture with BASF, SolVin S.A. Jean-Marc started their career at Solvay in 1998 as a Project Engineer at Vinythai Public Company in Thailand. Jean-Marc then moved to Solvay Indupa in Argentina where they worked as a Project Manager. In 2000, they joined Solvay as an Engineering & Construction Manager, a position they held until 2009. During this period, they also served as a Sr Vice President and Site Manager at SolVin S.A. In 2011, they became the Executive Vice-President and Director of Manufacturing Excellence at Solvay, a role they held until 2020. During their time at Solvay, they played a key role in designing and launching the manufacturing excellence program. From 2020, they became the Solvay One Planet Industrial Program Leader and later assumed the role of Industrial Excellence and Star Factory Director at Solvay. Throughout their career, Jean-Marc Chamberland has demonstrated their expertise in manufacturing excellence and project management.
Jean-Marc Chamberland's education history includes a Master's degree in Industrieel Beleid / Industrial Management from Katholieke universiteit Leuven (1988-1989) and a Civil Engineer degree from Université catholique de Louvain (1983-1988). Jean-Marc also attended Collège Saint-François Marche-en-Famenne from 1976 to 1982. In 2007, they briefly attended IMD, although no degree or field of study is specified for that period.
