Ludovic Odoni

Head Of Technology, Battery Platform - Executive Vice President at Solvay

Ludovic ODONI has extensive experience in the field of advanced materials and technology. Ludovic started their career as a Visiting Research Scholar at The Ohio State University in 1994. Ludovic then worked as a Researcher at Instrumat from 1995 to 1998, conducting research on different materials. Ludovic joined MTS Nano Instruments Inc. as a Postdoctoral Researcher, where they focused on developing Nano Indentation routines to understand the strain rate dependence of Automotive Coating's Scratch Resistance.

In 1999, they joined RHODIA OPERATIONS and held various roles such as Researcher, Lab Manager, and R&D Project Manager. Ludovic was responsible for managing the High-Performance Polyamide projects for the Automotive industry, achieving all milestones on time. Ludovic also played a key role in managing the Rheology Lab and leading the reinforcement program of polymers with Nanofillers.

From 2007 to 2011, Ludovic was involved with AXELERA, where they co-piloted an Industry Academic Ecosystem and served as a Member of the Scientific Council. Ludovic also worked at the French National Research Agency (ANR) as a Member of the Selection Committee from 2007 to 2010.

Ludovic joined Solvay in 2011 and held progressive roles such as Advanced Materials Portfolio Manager, Avanced Materials Innovation Director, R&I Center Belgium Director, and currently holds the position of Head of Technology, Battery Platform - Executive Vice President. In these roles, they have been responsible for driving technological innovation and leading cross-functional teams.

Throughout their career, Ludovic's work has been focused on the development and application of advanced materials, specifically in the areas of polymers, nanocomposites, and sustainable chemistry. Ludovic has successfully managed multiple research projects, collaborated with academic institutions and industry partners, and contributed to the growth and success of the organizations they have worked with.

Ludovic ODONI obtained an Engineer's degree in Materials Science from Ecole centrale de Lyon in 1994. In 1999, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Polymer physics from the same institution. Ludovic obtained a Diploma in Innovation Strategy from INSEAD in 2015. In 1994, they also obtained a DEA degree in Biology and Medical Engineering from Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1.
