Susan Mandel has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Susan currently holds the position of Head of Administrative Sites and Global Facilities at Solvay, starting in May 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Facility Manager and Opt-In Lead for Solvay's New Jersey office, starting in June 2018. Susan also served as the Facilities Supervisor for Solvay in North America, starting in October 2016. Additionally, they held the role of Design Committee Chairperson at Solvay. Susan's previous experience includes being the Area Manager for the US and Mexico, as well as the Communications Lead for the Global Facilities Team at Solvay, starting in March 2019 and ending in May 2021. Before joining Solvay, Susan founded and served as the President and Creative Director of MandelGroup Events, specializing in corporate interiors and event planning. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Sales Representative for Bernhardt Design and Bernhardt Textiles at Mandelgroup. Susan also worked as a Sales Representative, Account Manager, and Project Manager at Sander Partnership, where they managed showroom operations and represented multiple lines of contract furniture and accessories. Their earliest role was as a Project Manager and Sales Associate at Furniture Consultants, Inc., where they served as the primary liaison between the sales group and the project management team.
Susan Mandel earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Interior Design from Philadelphia University, where they studied from 1984 to 1988. Prior to that, they obtained their High School Diploma from John F Kennedy High School in Plainview, NY, from 1980 to 1984.
