Yannick Baschung has a diverse range of work experience in various roles within the pharmaceutical and analytical laboratory fields.

In 2012, Yannick completed an internship at ASM aerosol-service AG in the Analytical Department. Following this, in 2013, Yannick worked as a Quality Controller at ASM aerosol-service AG for a brief period. Concurrently, Yannick also interned as an analytical laboratory trainee at Uppsala University, leading a project on the development of an interference-free method for simultaneous determination of phosphorus and iodine species in table salt.

In 2014, Yannick joined Solvias as a Project Manager, managing pharmaceutical QC projects related to drug analysis in compliance with GMP and cGMP. The focus was on enzymatic analysis, physico-chemical analysis, stability studies, and comparability studies.

From 2015 to 2018, Yannick pursued a Ph.D. in Medical Life Sciences at the Steinbeis Center for Biopolymer Analysis and Biomedical Mass Spectrometry. Yannick's thesis focused on the development and application of affinity-mass spectrometry techniques to identify protein-carbohydrate interactions. During this time, Yannick also published and presented numerous works.

Upon completion of the Ph.D., Yannick returned to Solvias as a Scientific Associate, providing periodic support to the QC department while simultaneously pursuing the Ph.D. curriculum.

In 2018, Yannick transitioned to the role of Customer Project Leader at Solvias, overseeing customer projects. From 2020 to 2023, Yannick took on the position of Team Leader for Orally Inhaled and Nasal Drug Product services at Solvias. Currently, Yannick holds the position of Team Leader for Drug Delivery and Physical Characterization services at Solvias, starting in January 2023.

Yannick Baschung began their education at the University of Strasbourg in 2007 and completed a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry in 2011. From 2011 to 2012, they attended Université de Bordeaux where they obtained a Master 1 degree in Molecular and Macromolecular Chemistry. In 2012, Baschung enrolled in Uppsala University and completed a Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry by 2013. Lastly, Baschung pursued further education at Universität Rostock from 2015 to 2019, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biochimie et biologie moléculaire.
