Joseph Heelan

Joseph Heelan is a highly experienced engineer with a strong background in materials and mechanical engineering. Currently serving as Co-founder and COO/CTO at Powders On Demand since May 2018 and Principal Materials Engineer at Solvus Global, Joseph has held multiple leadership roles, including Vice President of Battery Technology at Kinetic Batteries and Team Lead as a Senior Materials Engineer at QuEST Global. Educationally, Joseph earned a Master’s degree in Materials Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University. Noteworthy achievements include developing a lithium recovery method at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and leading initiatives in hazardous materials and polymer erosion coatings in the aerospace sector.
