Thomas van Binnebeek

Thomas Van Binnebeek has a diverse work experience that spans various industries. Thomas is currently the Director of Operations at Somati Systems as of September 2023. Prior to that, they held the position of Head of Engineering at Powerdale NV/SA, where they managed a team of 18 people and was responsible for engineering, R&D, product management, and industrialization. Before Powerdale, they worked at Safran Aircraft Engine Services Brussels, where they held several roles, including Operations Manager and Test Bench Manager. Thomas also worked at Safran Aero Boosters as a Sales Manager and Project Manager. Thomas started their career at SIKA AUTOMOTIVE BELGIUM S.A./N.V. as a Program Manager, managing international projects and leading multidisciplinary teams. Thomas also worked as a Researcher at Université libre de Bruxelles. Overall, Thomas has a strong background in operations management, engineering, and project management.

Thomas Van Binnebeek has a diverse education history. Thomas first attended Université libre de Bruxelles in the year 2000 and completed a complementary degree in applied sciences in 2001. In 1993, they enrolled in the same university and pursued a degree in chemical-material engineering, which they completed in 1999.

In 2006, Thomas Van Binnebeek joined IAG - Université Catholique de Louvain and obtained a master's degree in business administration and management. Thomas'sstudies at IAG continued until 2008.

Aside from their formal education, Thomas Van Binnebeek obtained a PMP (Project Management Professional) certification from the Project Management Institute in 2014. Thomas further enhanced their project management skills by completing a MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) titled "MOOC QRQC - A problème terrain, réponse terrain" offered by SAFRAN in October 2021.
