Mr. Cheng is currently the proprietor of Erik Cheng & Co., a certified public accountant practice in Hong Kong. Mr. Cheng obtained a Master of Science (Economics) degree in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics in August 1984, and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Accounting from the University of Kent in July 1983. He has been a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and the HKICPA since August 1998 and January 1999 respectively, and a member of the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada since November 1990.
Mr. Cheng had worked at Coopers and Lybrand (now known as PricewaterhouseCoopers Ltd.) in London between 1984 and 1987 and Swiss Bank Corporation (now known as UBS AG) in Toronto between 1989 and 1992, and held senior management positions in a number of Hong Kong listed companies. Mr. Cheng is an independent non-executive director of a number of listed companies on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited.
