Jo Matherson

Jo Matherson has a diverse work experience in the education field. They started their career as a Science and Mathematics Teacher at Uralla Central School in 1995. Later, they worked at PLC Armidale in various roles, including Senior School Coordinator and Acting Head of School. In 2016, they moved to The Glennie School and held positions as Head of Middle Years and Deputy Principal. Currently, Jo Matherson is working as a Deputy Principal at Somerville House since 2020.

Jo Matherson has a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Genetics from the University of New England (AU), which was obtained between 1990 and 1993. They further pursued education at the same institution, earning a Graduate Diploma of Education (Dip.Ed) in Biology, Chemistry, Science, Agriculture, and Junior Mathematics from 1993 to 1994. Their education journey concluded with a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Education from the University of New England (AU) between 2016 and 2021.
