Miguel Tolentino

Miguel Tolentino has a wide range of work experience in various industries. Miguel started their career in 1998 as an Advertising Manager and Product Manager at Optimus. Miguel then moved on to roles such as General Coordinator at Sonae Matrix and Project Manager at Optimus. In 2003, they became an HR Manager at Sonaecom and also served as a Project Manager at Optimus. Miguel joined Sonae in 2010 as a Program Management Officer and later became the Head of HR at Sonae SR. Miguel then moved on to become the Managing Director at Berg Outdoor. In 2016, they joined Sonae Capital as the Head of Group People & Culture. Their most recent position was as the Head of People & Leadership and Continuous Improvement at SONAE, which they started in 2023. Throughout their career, Miguel has gained experience in areas such as HR, marketing, project management, and leadership.

Miguel Tolentino attended Universidade do Porto from 1991 to 1996, studying Economics. In 2002, they pursued an MBA in Business Administration and Management at Universidade Nova de Lisboa. In 2010, they completed a program called "Mobilizing People" at IMD. In 2019, they participated in the Gender Diversity Programme at INSEAD. Most recently, in 2021, they completed the Adam's Choice - Executive Learning Program at Nova School of Business and Economics. Additionally, they obtained a certification in "Human Resource Strategy in Transforming Organisations" from London Business School in 2022.
