This is a unique opportunity to be part of a high-performing sales team that’s at the forefront of addressing a new frontier of automotive innovation. Sonatus is looking for a sales professional to execute a strategic plan with a focus on long-term customer development within the Automotive industry (OEMs and Suppliers).
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Strong ability to navigate complex automotive R&D organization (i.e. in-vehicle ethernet & vehicle data teams) and map key groups and individuals to sponsor our product from POC to mass production cycles.
- Utilizing existing relationships and forming new ones to develop a technical sales strategy for major US-headquartered OEMs.
- Assisting Business Development Managers to develop strategic sales plans based on company goals that will promote business development, sales growth, and customer satisfaction.
- Develop local strategic relationships with eco-system partners (i.e. Tier 1 suppliers, etc.).
- Establish and develop “technical trusted advisor” relationships with customers.
- Coordinate all activities between different departments like Product Management, R&D Engineering, and Marketing
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, engineering, or a business-related field is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of proven success in technical selling or developing sophisticated software, electronic components, connected car technologies, data services platforms, and/or other solutions.
- Candidate must have hands-on technical experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Linux OS, data collection SW, ethernet and other buses (i.e. CAN/CAN-FD, FlexRay, etc) technologies, AUTOSAR (Classic and/or Adaptive), ADAS, Autonomous Driving, Connected Cars/Services or Telematics
- Cloud backend data management, applications, etc.
- Candidate must have experience working with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers
- Candidate must have experience and knowledge about typical POC and SOP processes in the automotive and transportation industries
- Rudimentary knowledge of automotive ethernet and its use cases is a plus.
- Rudimentary knowledge of automotive data and its use cases from data collection to data analytics.
- Demonstrated a track record of developing deep strategic relationships with large, complex organizations.
- A self-starter who can work independently to define the landscape in a rapidly changing business space.
- “Team Player” attitude is required with excellent organizational skills and proven ability to leverage internal resources.
- Superior interpersonal, management, and communication skills a must, specifically with regards to working in a culturally diverse & global business environment.
- Expect some travel (including international).
