Julia R. started their work experience in 2011 at Main Street Community Mental Health Center, where they served as an Administrative Staff member, performing tasks such as designing business materials, answering phones, and booking appointments. In 2013, they worked at Waltman Ortega Fine Art as a Public Relations Manager. From 2015 to 2016, they worked at GreenRoom Agency as an Account Executive. In 2016, they became the Head of Marketing & Communications at The Bass. Julia then worked as an Adjunct Professor of Strategic Communication at the University of Miami from 2018 to 2020. In 2020, they joined SonderMind as a Brand Strategist, responsible for executing and leading brand strategy and positioning work. Julia also developed the SonderMind brand book and strategic messaging platforms. Later on, they took on the role of Content Strategy Marketing Manager at SonderMind, where they developed content and creative strategies and led the organic content development team.

Julia R.'s education history begins with their high school diploma from Owings Mills High School, which they obtained from 2006 to 2010. Afterwards, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Communication with Honors at the University of Miami, completing it from 2010 to 2014. During their time at the University of Miami, they also took part in a study abroad semester at Lorenzo de'Medici: The Italian International Institute in 2013, focusing on Art History & Fashion Industry. Julia then went on to pursue a Master of Letters (MLitt) in Modern and Contemporary Art at the University of Glasgow from 2014 to 2016.
