Janet Durkin

Janet Durkin has a diverse work experience in the field of communications and marketing. Janet is currently working as the Senior Director of Communications at Sonoma State University since October 2023. Prior to this role, they served as the Director at JNR Family Foundation from August 2018 to December 2022. Janet also held the position of Director of Marketing & Communications at The Branson School from April 2016 to June 2018. Before that, they worked as the Director of Strategic Communications and Marketing at 10,000 Degrees from March 2014 to April 2016. Prior to their time at 10,000 Degrees, Janet served as the Director of Communications at Sonoma Academy from June 2001 to March 2014. Janet also worked as the Director of Communications at Northfield Mount Hermon School from 1996 to 2001 and as the Assistant Director of College Relations at Smith College from 1993 to 1996.

Janet Durkin has obtained a Master's degree in Counseling and Student Personnel from Penn State University, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Writing from the same institution.
