Bert Frederich

Bert Frederich is a Senior Scientist at SonoThera since January 2023, focusing on in vivo platform development for ultrasound-guided nonviral gene therapy and collaborating with external companies on gene therapy models. Prior experience includes roles at BridgeBio as a Senior Scientist and Scientist, leading pharmacology efforts on small molecule inhibitors for the KRAS pathway and other oncology applications. At UNITY Biotechnology, Bert researched the intersection of senescence and oncology, while earlier positions at Cytokinetics, the University of California, San Francisco, and UC Davis involved significant contributions to preclinical development and basic research in cardiovascular and cancer biology. Bert holds a Ph.D. in Molecular, Cellular and Integrative Physiology from the University of California, Davis, and has completed postdoctoral research in Vascular Biology at the University of California, San Francisco.
