Chieko Tazuke

Chieko Tazuke has a diverse work experience in various organizations.

From 2022 to the present, they have worked as an Investment Director at Sony Innovation Fund.

Prior to that, from 2018 to 2021, they held multiple roles at Industrial Growth Platform Inc., including Manager and Associate Manager. In this position, they executed cross-border PMI, improved profitability through organizational changes, and supported a Singaporean startup in entering the Japanese market.

From 2011 to 2018, they worked at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. Chieko served as a Long-term Overseas Researcher, studying business administration at the National University of Singapore and innovation methods at the Institute of Design in Illinois Institute of Technology. Chieko also served as Deputy Director and Assistant Manager, where they established venture capital firms and designed policies for increasing women engineers.

In 2018, they participated in an MBA Management Practicum at Graymatics, Inc.

Chieko started their career in 2008 as a Research Fellow at Japan Society for the Promotion of Science.

Chieko Tazuke has an extensive education background. Chieko obtained a Ph.D. in Medical Science, specializing in Neuroscience, from The University of Tokyo between 2007 and 2011. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Integrated Biosciences in Neuroscience at the same university from 2005 to 2007. In 2001, they earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Developmental Biology, also from The University of Tokyo. Chieko further pursued their education by completing a Master of Design Method in Design Strategy at the Institute of Design (ID) from 2016 to 2017. Chieko then attended the National University of Singapore for an MBA in Business Administration and Management, General from 2017 to 2018. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained various certifications, including Google Data Analytics and Python programming courses from University of Michigan and Coursera.
